why awkwardness matters

2010 December 15

wild brothers and wild sisters…

are you tired of being in your comfort zone? do you want to live more creatively? do you want to embrace possibility for yourself, your body, and your relationships?

in other words, do you want to wild up your lifestyle?

in ‘why awkwardness matters,’ i explore how awkwardness fuels the creative expansion of self…

practice: break down your week of activities… who you talk to… where you talk to them… how you talk to them… what you talk to them about… where you work… how you work… what you eat… how you eat… where you move your body… how you move your body… where you make love… how you make love… you name it, write it down…

then ask yourself: ‘where can i insert a bit of awkwardness into my life?’… if possible, once you have something in mind, mark it down, schedule it in… otherwise, the mind’s desire for comfort will come up with a zillion reasons to not engage in awkwardness…

have fun with your ‘wild self’ practice and feel free to share your experience so we can learn from each other…

may the wild be with you,

gino
