your finger grabs nearest flower… brings nose so close…

my finger lifts too… nearest my flower… smells what you smell…

you look into trees… side to side… down… up… you stare toward upward air…

i too touch the tree… see what you see… feel what you feel… i am out of myself…

we meet in the wild… no language… no social reference… no code… no rules…

roles shift… you mirror me…

step out of you and into me… your ego screams… ‘oh no’.. don’t leave me..

primate within melts into space… we walk on all fours… bipeds pass in distance.. ’so lucky’… i want to be like them… they say…

race on muddy trail… carve figures into the dirt… with hands.. with feet…

we hear distant sounds within…

people get dirty with too much civilization… jung says… so cleanse existential rot via baptisms by dirt…

‘i want in’ says modern mind… overwhelmed by senses… mind drowns… once atrophied senses… rush forward… identity apartheid no more…

no more segregation from 98% of myself… we say… let myself be free from within so i can be free from without…

primal mirroring… mimic learning… subconscious learning… this is the way we come to know yet don’t discuss…

put the books down… they will be there upon return from sacred space… the profane world profits too handsomely by legislating via texts..

we turn from mirroring to primal improvisation… first taste of community… transcends individuation..

signs of ancestor community surface… no game plans… no agendas… no forethought… no back-thought… present creativity only…

scrapes leaves together… builds mounds… claims with sticks… vibrational energies mesh…

beyond the disciplining confines of identity and socialized learning.. we come face to face with the wild self… feeling as light and right as only our original grace could provide…
