dreams are invitations into the wilderness within… the ‘wild self’… the unknown… the journey..

so often we forsake life when eyes are closed as inconsequential… non-reality… nothing to do with ‘me’ and my waking life…

dreams have everything to with you… they have everything to do with me… everything to do with us…

our dreams are not ours alone… they are what carl jung calls ‘archetypal patterns’… tapestries in the playing out of the collective unconscious…

our individual dreams may be ours but the patterned bed they rest on are not…

recurring dreams are signs of our unconscious prodding us to go on a journey…

dreams are the communication channel between the wild within and the social without…

when waking fears stifle divine flow… dreams knock at the door of threshold…

‘accept the call to adventure my dear friend’… dreams suggest… ‘otherwise… i will harass you until your bodily end’… smirks the dream…

sometimes on ‘wild self’ quests… we will re-enact… re-imagine… re-visualize dreams

we evoke the image within the spiritual eye…

we cross over into the wilderness within… the dream’s origination… the dream’s home…

we harness the will within… to live with and manifest… not merely by re-representing the dream but by going beyond it… by re-creating it…

if dreams turn on self-sabotage…

gets ready to make the call… the phone dies…

running out for an important appointment… trips and falls…

builds up confidence to approach somebody… images of doubt appear…

we stop… look… listen… to turn the dream’s ending into a new beginning…

a stream of conscious dreaming… where the dream rut is no longer the map of your being’s territory…

the map is now being re-written… re-created… re-felt…

the walls placed before mortal consciousness collapse…

eyes open… a slow return to personal… physical presence… a gentle psychic nudge by the underground… kick starts… the fire within…
