these are images from a ‘somatic expression in nature’ residential retreat i participated in… the retreat was held at sea ranch and conducted by jamie mchugh… a gifted and thoughtful guide… about 3 hours north of san francisco…
somatic expression is a central tenant/practice in my ‘wild self’ quests… quest walks and desert quests… i think of somatic expression as primal meditation…
i share my impressions of my somatic/social experience at sea ranch in my essay ‘pre-branded bodies‘… you can also gain a deeper understanding of jamie mchugh’s practices/teachings in the short documentary ‘original grace.’
