re-creation as salvation
everybody projects… not when but how…
seeds of outwardness soil in the inner world… nothing is without referent… go inward to find cause…
adult life turns consciousness outward yet we long for creative outlets…
as dust accrues on our soul… a fight surfaces between inner and outer world…
which one will win?….
the one you feed…
when we turn projection into artistic expression… ‘good days’ manifest says emerson…
so how do we unstick ourself from sticky divinity?
think of life as an ongoing bout of salvation through recreation… taking the boat to the lake is fine but i am referring to re-creation… an experience that unfolds by meeting ourselves where we are at…
in my early adult life i was exclusively occupied with business activities… as days passed though i longed to be more… not do more… but be more…
my being ached for understanding… enchantment… deeper contact… (be-more should be a word just like be-come, no?)… didn’t know the details of the adventure besides wanting to be more…
at the time… a friend recommended journaling… i wrote short essays… i listen to different types of music… i traveled more frequently… i opened myself to strange books… you know… stuff from the east…
i kept consuming life outside my confines and the more i did… the more avenues i found to turn my inward outward… for the first time… i was feeling the incipient presence of my life’s task…
when guiding others… i start with their existing creative spots and expand upon… some sing.. some write… some visualize… some dance.. some color… some construct… some garden… some act…
whatever the case… we re-create in the midst of source… no need for powerpoint… we point power not onto a screen… we instead point power back toward the movie playing between our spiritual eye… it is the greatest movie on earth… especially if you are writer/director…
we are creative beings in our movies… responding to life as process by taking ownership through surrendering…
by letting go through creative expression.. not gossip… not judgement… not faulting others but by engaging the ‘wild self’ as if today is the day… we save ourself from the modern fall…
we sidestep this ideal when we overlook our wild self as sacred gift and societal self as servant… when wild… we bow to the earthly king within…
alive,
gino
