above is luke diaz… a ‘wild life’ quester who has fond memories of playing baseball as a kid…. so do i… by the way…

as evident in my previous posts… activating personal expressions is a significant aspect of quest development… funny.. in grade school… we take art classes… music classes… physical education classes… constant exploration of  mind and body… yet seems to stop as an adult… as so much of the system… for good or bad… dulls expression…

personal expression comes in many forms… it can be recollecting the fond memories of yesterday and playing that fondness out in a new context… like luke did by sketching out the hero’s journey on the infield dirt of a baseball field located in golden gate park…

using fresh cut grass from the outfield… i asked him to symbolize different features of the journey… he arranged the fresh cut grass to manifest a dollar sign as threshold… a question mark for the unknown… a foamy beer for the circle of cultural resignation…

this is just the beginning… luke also plays guitar… writes his own music… as the questing goes on… we will find outlets for this personal expression to manifest in the pursuit of quest…

we need not to reinvent the wheel with self… the divine creation within… however expressed… is the best place to meet another… not a formulaic pattern that presumes sameness…
