plug into primality

2010 February 4

fellow questers…

i believe primal plug ins might be the next hot ancestral thing… yes… i really do… it’s just waiting to happen… we are plugged in… in so many ways… phones.. internet… television.. everywhere… all day long… hard to escape…

what about embodiment with the space around and before us… beyond just plugging the nervous system into a digital grid but plugging into the primal grid….

plugging into the primal… is the first thing we do on ‘wild-self’ quest walks… we consciously engage space and place… exploring somatically our inner landscape by turning attention from our head to our feet… we take our shoes off… mother earth sends her love via cool feet… no rubber sole… just soul feet…

from feet to hands… focus on feeling… if and when we drift to our head… we send our attention to our feet again… when attuned to primality… an ancestral glow beckons within… and subsequently without… so simple yet so effective…

why do we spend so much time on physical embodiment on our ‘wild-self’ quest walks?… well… our cognitive apparatus is only responsible for a fraction of what we know… much to the demise of intellectuals… even with all the cool cognitive gadgets.. we still overwhelmingly make sense of experience through senses… makes sense, right?…

the senses is the primary route to our ancestor’s intuitive heritage… besides that… being physically-engaged… bodily present… is a lot more fun… would you rather cite a stat or let your feet frolic in the mud?…

so many people doing the hustle… so few doing rapture… reconnecting our bodies with the source that sustains us… our only legitimate inheritance… why can’t it be included in our day?… a ritual.. just like getting coffee before work… no?.. why only initiate reconnection with nature after the exterior world exhausts us?…

i’d like to think.. given it us who create the world we live in… that we could convince ourselves that an unconditional relationship with our natural surrounding could be a part of our routine… to give the source undivided attention… no need to take calls… your calls will be there when you re-enter the conditional world… simply just a time to be… to be with the source… start there… and when you’re ready… engage the source like she likes to be engaged… like an animal..

questions for questers:

are you plugged into your primality?

do you have a daily ritual involving connecting your body with the natural world?

A primal plugin sounds great. In this day of high tech sometimes we all need to plug in to the ultimate technology – life itself.

absorb mother nature ….the perfect environment for being completely present. the way it should be…feel your bare feet on the earth….wind in hair….hearing…smelling….seeing everything without judgement…without expectations….. noticing as if for the first time ever. plug into the primal and practice that mindfulness in the conditional world. after all nature is everywhere.
