unfortunately… what we are learning today in our schools… universities… communities… media… is not the wisdom of life… we are learning technologies… information for information sake… things that come and go… trendy things… in one day… out the next… all carbohydrates… no protein…

when the loudness of mortal affairs is overly loud… all we see and feel is the exteriorization of our existence… it impinges upon attention to the inner life…

our inner life has a magnificent heritage and great tradition… to name a few… we have on the religious front… jesus and krishna… on the intellectual front… plato… shakespeare… buddha… emerson… goethe…campbell…

the reasons why these figures continue to resonate with hearts and minds is that they aren’t into trends… nor is the heart… nor is the energy field… nor is the ‘wild self’… just the ‘social self’ is interested in what is ‘hot’…

our hero’s of yesterday… have one thing in common… they speak to the eternal values at the center of our lives… they speak to the ‘wild self’ yearning to express herself… to be heard… to be uninhibited by social imposition…

they remind us when we overly engage in the exterior world… we forget about the inner world and risk potential aliveness…
