fellow questers…

the everyday hero meets challenges by passionately committing to some course of action…

think about the high points in your life… first kiss… first date… first job… first day of college… first time you bought a house… first time you voyaged to a distant land… at first… they always seem impossible… overwhelming… ‘how am i going to do this?’…  you ask yourself…

yet once we make a commitment… providential care kicks in… all sorts of things occur to help us… that would have never occurred before… a wonderful magic in the energy field starts to congregate around the intention… a mysterious forces moves toward and with us…

though the force doesn’t support fence sitters or hedgers… so don’t half ass it… you have to believe in order to spiritually succeed…

i remember my desert survival instructor… tony nester… telling me that ancient traditions believed that when procuring food… belief of success was foremost… you can have a great trap but if you don’t believe in your trap and your ability to track animals… your food procuring endeavors will bear little success…

the intangible world… the world that drives reductionists nuts… sits on the sidelines until we call on something larger than our little self… when the ego recedes… spiritual success surfaces… so too… does our ‘wild self’…

i often see this in guiding questers… people share what they are thinking… and feeling… and as we work through the hero’s journey… going over different phases.. particularly… the threshold phase… a light usually comes on inside the quester… an a ha moment…

the details are different for each quester… but.. in general… a clear intention evolves… and lo!…  questers start making decisions they would not have previously made… and even more powerful… questers start feeling the presence of the force… the mysterious being… working for them…
