people ask me… so gino… when you use the term ‘hero’… what are you getting at… what do you mean…

first of all… when you identify your ‘wild self” as the hero within… you are about to have a lot more fun… as a ‘wild self’ quester once told me… i like this journey stuff… it’s liberating… i don’t feel compelled to always be in control… that is… illusory control… she added…

when you enact the hero within… you are consciously manifesting a creative spirit everyday… the days are to be lived purposefully…

sure… there are ups and downs… the difference is in how the hero decides to resolve them… the hero within knows that many heros have come before her… they have done the work for us… we merely have to stay out of our own way… and stay within the path of our ancestor’s wisdom… the intuitive thread… passed onto us in our evolutionary biology… our evolutionary psychology… yes.. just as physical traits get passed on… so too… do psychic traits…

we are complex beings… we engage two worlds… exterior and interior… exterior world is full of facts, figures, and errands… mortal pursuits… contemporary trends… news of the hour… it’s carbohydrates for the psyche… whereas the internal realm… is about journeying inward… delving into the subtle dimensions of the human psyche… to discover the psyche’s protein…

when we think of personal change… it’s the interior realm that facilitates the outer change… you can’t change that which is without… without changing that which is within… when we consciously evolve within… we receive subsequent transformation in our outer lives…

i use the terms ‘exterior’ and ‘interior’ for purposes of conversation and communication… when life is lived… these barriers break down… the human body lives in an ecosystem… connected to… or else dies…

most of us spend time with exterior initiatives… save this… save that… do this… do that… so i can get here… and then go there… yet few do the hard work of pursuing interior initiatives…

but when we do journey inward… we activate the hidden creative resources of ancient wisdom… spoken to us in our dreams… in our intuitive rumblings…

when we accept the hero within… we learn to view challenges differently… obstacles are welcomed… we know in the full circling of the journey… is a renewed self… a self closer to her authentic self… a fully realized self… not just a societal self dressed up in the clothes of pretty… trendy… exterior initiatives…

oh no… not that at all… instead that which use to have a hold over us… now bows to a consciousness undergird by the collective unconscious…
